BasePay Range
$66.00/hr – $73.00/hr
Responsibilities- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using leading cloud platform tools, including advanced data warehousing solutions, scalable cloud storage, and workflow orchestration.
- Develop and optimise complex SQL queries to support comprehensive data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
- Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams and Subject Matter Experts to deeply understand data requirements and deliver highly effective solutions.
- Implement and champion best practices for data quality, data governance, and data security across all pipelines.
- Proactively monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
- Contribute significantly to data architecture decisions, providing strategic recommendations for continuous improvement of our data infrastructure.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in cloud‑based data engineering and the dynamic field of cybersecurity.
- Demonstrate exceptional communication skills, including the ability to gather relevant data and information, actively listen, engage in free dialogue, and verbalise ideas effectively.
- Thrive in an Agile work environment, delivering incremental value to customers by efficiently managing and prioritising tasks.
- Proactively lead investigation and resolution efforts when data issues are identified, taking full ownership to resolve them in a timely manner.
- Develop and document clear processes and procedures for producing critical metrics.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience with comprehensive data management, including gathering data from multiple sources, consolidating it into a centralised location, and transforming it with business logic for consumable visualisation and data analysis.
- Strong expertise in leading cloud platform services, including advanced data warehousing solutions, scalable cloud storage, and workflow orchestration tools.
- Proficiency in Python (including API coding experience) and SQL for robust data processing and automation.
- Extensive experience with ETL processes and sophisticated data pipeline design.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work effectively in team environments.
- Experience with data visualisation tools for dashboard development.
- Experience with other cloud data processing and messaging services.
- Knowledge of Dev Ops practices and tools, such as infrastructure‑as‑code.
- Familiarity with various data visualisation tools.
- Understanding of cybersecurity data tools and analysis methodologies.
- One or more of the following certifications:
CompTIA Sec+, CISM, CISSP, CRISC, and/or CISA. - Understanding of security control frameworks such as NIST, CIS controls, COBIT, ISO.
