Our client, a growing insurance company based in the Los Angeles area, is seeking an Investment Accountant. This role offers a hybrid working model. Familiarity with statutory and GAAP reporting is required. Seeking investment accountants with insurance experience. We will also consider accountants without specific investment experience if they are familiar with statutory reporting.

• Perform accounting, reporting, and analysis for a diverse investment portfolio (e.g., fixed income, equities, alternative investments).
• Prepare and reconcile investment-related journal entries, schedules, and reports.
• Support statutory and GAAP reporting requirements, including investment disclosures.
• Partner with external asset managers, custodians, and internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy and timeliness of investment data.
• Assist with audit requests, investment schedules, and process improvement initiatives.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Prior experience in the insurance industry is highly preferred.
• Candidates from public accounting backgrounds with investment and/or insurance clients will also be considered.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and familiarity with statutory or GAAP reporting.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
