People First in Long Beach

Local Team Collaboration:

• Long Beach Memorial Medical Center is a 420-bed non-profit teaching hospital that has been recognized as a major regional provider of medical and surgical services by US News and World Report.
• Intensivists will rotate through both Med/Surg ICU and CVICU (depending on need).
• 15-bed CVICU (non-teaching service)
• 32-bed Med/Surg ICU, which is the teaching service with Internal Medicine residents and Pulmonary/Critical Care Fellows
• EMR:
  Cerner with Dragon for dictation

Qualifications:

• Board-certified or board-eligible critical care physicians (MD or DO)
• A commitment to excellence in clinical service, with strong problem-solving abilities essential for the ICU setting
• Active California medical license preferred

Practice in the Heart of the Community

Scheduling:

• 7 on 7 off schedule. One week of days and one week of nights per month.

Key Responsibilities:

• This is an ideal environment for someone wanting to care for the full spectrum of critically ill patients.
• Opportunity to teach residents and fellows at the bedside.
