About the TeamThe Engine Manufacturing team is dedicated to delivering high-performance engines and advancing innovative manufacturing systems that continuously improve cost, quality, and lead time. You’ll actively provide input that shapes new hardware iterations and regularly interface with engineers to make critical decisions for the Aeon R program.
About the RoleAs a Turbo machinery Engineer, you will produce components and assemblies for the fuel and oxidizer turbopumps of the Aeon‑R and Aeon‑R Vac engines. You will own the manufacturing trades and develop processes for fabricating, testing, and delivering critical Aeon‑R hardware and subassemblies. You will serve as the main point of contact between the manufacturing and design teams as we optimize Aeon‑R architecture and scale manufacturing operations.
To be successful, you should thrive in ambiguity and drive your own projects to completion.
- Degree in engineering or related technical field and 2+ years of relevant experience
- Experience with turbopump assembly procedures, including rotor balancing, interference fits, clearance checks, structural proofing, and leak checks
- Manufacturing Process
Experience:
Fluids Testing, Machining, Additive - Knowledge of general assembly and test procedures, including tolerance stack‑up analysis, structural proof testing, and pressurized leak checks
- Experience with Siemens NX or other CAD and analysis tools
- Experience with Tooling design, including conceptualization, modeling and drafting, and detailed analysis
- Experience working with additively manufactured engine hardware
- Experience with GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and industry specifications
- Experience in a startup or agile development environment
- Experience working in a flight development program
Hiring Range: $112,000 - $143,000 USD
