THE WORK:- You’ll oversee pile-supported deck replacement, marine fender system installation, and material testing coordination.
- You’ll lead QA/QC oversight, field inspection, and materials verification for concrete and structural steel components.
- You’ll administer Caltrans-standard construction, QA program, and source inspection for structural concrete and aggregates.
- You’ll assist in managed grading, drainage, paving, and field testing in compliance with Caltrans METS and QAP protocols.
- You’ll oversee Wharf reconstruction, pile driving, concrete deck placement, marine fender systems
- You’ll implement Quality Assurance Plans (QAP) and verify contractor Quality Control (QC).
- You’ll oversee source material inspections, batch plant operations, and field sampling.
- You’ll coordinate independent testing labs for concrete, asphalt, aggregates, soils, and structural steel.
- You’ll verify certifications, mix designs, and ensure compliance with ASTM and Caltrans testing standards.
- You’ll review of RFIs, submittals, change orders, and as-built documentation

The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships. - With all our roles, there is some in-person time for collaboration, learning and building relationships with clients, peers, leaders and communities. WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Bachelors in civil engineering
- Must be a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of California
- Minimum of ten (10) years of construction management and field engineering experience on marine, transportation, bridge construction, and heavy civil projects
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety, QSD/QSP
- Certified Construction Manager (CCM)
- Familiarity with Port and Wharf Construction including pile-supported structures, bulkheads, fender systems, and utilities
- Familiarity with Caltrans Transportation Projects including roadway improvements, understanding of bridge and grade separation structures, retaining walls
- Familiarity with Heavy Civil Construction including grading, paving, storm drainage, and utility relocations
- Familiarity with Caltrans Standard Specifications, Standard Plans, Construction Manual, and Materials Engineering and Testing Services (METS) requirements
- Oversight of projects with State and Federal funding, ensuring compliance with LAPM and FHWA requirements
- Experience working with Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, Caltrans, City Public Works, and utility agencies
- Knowledge of CEQA, NEPA, USACE, and Coastal Commission regulatory processes
- Masters degree desirable
$180,000 - $190,000 a year
