Salary : $19.00-$22.00 D.O.E

Position Title : Solid Works Drafter

Reports to : Engineering Manager

As a key member of our Team, you will be responsible for creating and modifying Solid Works parts, assemblies, and drawings while maintaining a high level of output. Taurus Engineering has been in Long Beach for over 50 years and provides submersible cables and connectors for oil companies all over the world. Business is rapidly picking up, and we need assistance creating and modifying engineering drawings using Solid Works.

• Create and release drawings using Solid Works.
• Review and update existing drawings using Solid Works.
• Communicate effectively with the Engineering and Production departments.
• Provide timely updates for drawing completion and workload.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Supervision Responsibilities :
None

• Receive direction from other engineers.
• Manage workload effectively.

• Certified Solid Works Associate Certification or 1-2 years of experience.
• Versatility, flexibility, and willingness to work within constantly changing priorities.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
• Commitment to excellence and high standards.
• Ability to create, read, and understand Engineering drawings.
• Ability to interface between Design and Production Teams.
• Able to communicate with all levels of the organization, both verbally and in writing.
• Have a positive attitude and a desire to learn.
• May require occasional overtime.

• Associate's degree in engineering with a focus on mechanical engineering.
• Design Experience.
• Experience creating written instructions.
• Adobe InDesign.

No regular travel is expected.

• Must have 1-2 years of Solid Works experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
