In the role of Senior Project Manager Engineering, we’ll count on you to:
  • Direct and coordinate the work of single- or multidiscipline teams throughout the project’s lifecycle, from development and initiation to close‑out.
  • Plan and manage all aspects of small to medium single-discipline engineering projects or large, routine projects.
  • Foster and develop client relationships for yourself and your staff.
  • Independently coordinate the work of engineers and balance the planning team throughout the entire project’s development.
  • Establish client relations and participate in marketing, contractual, design, and production meetings.
  • Track financial aspects of projects and coordinate or adjust work effort with the team to ensure timely completion within agreed parameters.
  • Collaborate with peers and team members to create a cohesive practice.
  • Perform complex structural planning, analysis, and design for all structural aspects of transportation projects to guarantee on‑schedule document completion.
  • Work on projects that typically include bridge (steel plate girder, prestressed concrete, segmental and cable‑stayed), box culvert, and interchange design for highway and railway projects.
  • Select standard bridge engineering/design procedures, develop structural details using specialized software, and perform structural load calculations and assist with geometric layout and quantity development.
  • Review, assign work, and/or check design calculations, estimates, and specifications produced by junior engineers and EITs.
  • Mentor staff and support continued development.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree
  • PMP certification
  • SE preferred
  • 15 years of bridge design experience
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, Micro Station, AutoCAD, MathCAD, LARSA, Prestress Concrete Design
  • Experience with structural analysis and bridge design software
  • Experience working with junior staff
  • Proficiency with seismic design and detailing of highway bridges
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Strong organizational, listening, and mentoring skills
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • 10 years related experience
  • Minimum 5 years project management experience
  • Professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position (PE or P.Eng).
  • MS Office and MS Project experience (Access experience a plus).
  • Demonstrated leadership, business development, and strategic planning skills.
