Leadership and Technical Opportunities in HDR’s Coastal Engineering Program
Employee-owned HDR is currently seeking qualified individuals to provide project, geographic and technical leadership in our growing coastal engineering and restoration program.
Our portfolio of award‑winning coastal projects showcases our team’s expertise across architecture, federal, transportation and water resources markets. HDR is ranked #5 in ENR's 2025 Top Water Design Firm rankings.
We are seeking qualified coastal engineers who can perform analysis and design of coastal restoration projects, including marsh restoration and beach nourishment; shoreline protection projects such as revetments and breakwaters; and navigation projects like dredging, marinas and harbors. Expertise in creating plans and specifications, and project management, is a major plus.
Preferred experience includes wave growth and transformation, coastal and estuarine hydrodynamics, littoral processes, sediment transport, marine dredging, and basic geotechnical or structural systems.
Express interest by following the online “apply” prompts. You are encouraged to provide a resume and a brief note outlining general geographic locations of interest.
