Engineer Diver; Structural Focus - Senior Level

Moffatt & Nichol specializes in large complex waterfront infrastructure projects and is recognized as one of the worldwide leaders in this field. We are actively seeking an experienced structural engineering professional with certifications in commercial diving at any of our SoCal offices including:
Long Beach (preferred), Costa Mesa, Carlsbad, or San Diego, CA.

As the successful new hire, you will be working with a professional engineering inspection and rehabilitation design team that provides consulting services to clients – primarily in the Southern California area and Hawaii. Occasional travel to other areas throughout the U.S. and abroad will also be required. The principal function of this position is to be part of a team that evaluates marine structures through above and underwater engineering inspections, follow-on report preparation and development of structural repair or replacement designs.

You will be responsible for client-facing activities with a prominent and highly regarded client in the SoCal region.

Our multidisciplinary team of engineers, data scientists, and developers are advancing the industry. We enjoy creating innovative concepts together to help our clients navigate new technical challenges. Work is evolving and our professionals are leading the way work is being accomplished. Data capture with UAS, ROVs, LiDAR, 2D and 3D Acoustics, and live feeds with remote sensors, are being integrated with digital twin models, AI/ML algorithms, and strategic asset management programs to predict various disruptions and make better decisions.
