Head of Finance

We are a high-tech, hypergrowth organization seeking a Head of Finance who will serve as a senior financial and operational leader responsible for building and scaling the financial infrastructure required to support complex, capital-intensive operations, infrastructure development, and commercialization of next-generation aerospace systems.

This leader will own the financial strategy, systems, and analytical frameworks that enable end-to-end visibility into operating costs, capital investments, resource allocation, and long-term financial performance. The role is deeply embedded in operations and will function as a key strategic thought partner to Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Infrastructure Development, and Executive Leadership.

• Define and lead the financial strategy supporting complex operational functions, capital-intensive projects, and large-scale infrastructure or production expansion.
• Serve as a senior advisor to executive leadership on cost structure, operational scalability, capital efficiency, and long-term financial planning.
• Build and lead a high-performing finance organization supporting operational finance, financial planning and analysis, cost management, and capital investment activities.
• Develop and implement scalable financial frameworks, systems, and processes that provide accurate visibility into operating costs, project expenditures, resource utilization, and financial performance.
• Own financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting across complex operational environments, including both operating expenditures and capital investments.
• Develop sophisticated financial models to evaluate cost drivers, investment requirements, operational efficiency, capacity expansion, and long-term financial performance.
• Lead advanced variance analysis across operational costs, project budgets, capital expenditures, and resource utilization, identifying root causes and opportunities for improvement.
• Partner with Engineering, Operations, and other functional leaders to develop and refine financial assumptions, cost estimates, project forecasts, and performance metrics.
• Drive financial oversight of major capital investments, including facilities, equipment, infrastructure development, and operational expansion.
• Evaluate investment opportunities, business cases, and strategic initiatives through financial modeling, scenario analysis, ROI assessments, and capital allocation frameworks.
• Influence operational planning, resource allocation, sourcing strategies, and build-versus-buy decisions through financial insight and analysis.
• Establish financial controls, governance structures, and reporting processes to ensure accountability, cost discipline, and effective management of large-scale operational initiatives.
• Lead the evolution of financial systems, reporting automation, and analytics infrastructure to support organizational growth and increasingly complex operations.
• Identify and resolve systemic data integrity, financial reporting, and process inefficiencies across operational and financial systems.
• Translate complex technical and operational data into actionable financial insights and executive-level recommendations.

• 12–15+ years of progressive finance experience, including significant leadership experience in operational finance, FP&A, cost management, or capital-intensive environments.
• Demonstrated experience building and scaling financial infrastructure, processes, and teams within high-growth, complex operational organizations.
• Strong background in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, capital allocation, and investment evaluation.
