Villa Redondo Care is an 80 bed assisted living facility for the elderly community (ages 59+) located in Downtown Long Beach, CA. We are currently seeking a compassionate and dependable Caregiver who has the passion to help the elderly and enjoys working in a fast paced environment. Qualifications (non-negotiable):

• Able to pass DOJ FBI live scan criminal background clearance mandated by licensing
• Able to pass pre employment physical and TB test clearance
• High school diploma or GED required
• Experience in caregiving and medical administration preferred
• Full-Time and Part-Time positions available in various shifts

Job Description:

• Assist with the basic needs of a RCFE (Residential Care Facility for the Elderly).
• Assist with daily assignments, ensuring completion in assistance with resident Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
• Communicates clearly, calmly and effectively with residents, families and Wellness Coordinator with any changes or resident concerns
• Provide ethical and respectful care to residents
• Progressive documentation and communication with physician and /or medical professional
• Ensure that residents stay stress-free as much as possible by working with medical professionals in regards to reducing of pain while promoting engagement and independence
• Maintains good composure during emergencies
• Maintains a safe work environment
