Job

The Cloud Systems Architect is responsible for designing and implementing secure, scalable, and compliant cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure to support healthcare operations, clinical systems, and patient data management. This role ensures that cloud architecture aligns with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA, HITRUST), supports digital health transformation, and enables innovation in patient care delivery and data analytics.

You Will
  • Deploy and support Microsoft technologies including M365, MS Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Intune, and Windows 365 Cloud PC/DaaS.
  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient Azure cloud architectures supporting healthcare systems and data interoperability (e.g., HL7, FHIR).
  • Configure and manage Azure services such as Virtual Machines, App Services, Azure SQL, Entra , Storage Accounts, Kubernetes, Data Factory, and Virtual Networks.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Bicep, ARM templates, or Terraform.
  • Automate cloud provisioning and deployment workflows using Azure Dev Ops, Git Hub, or Power Shell.
  • Implement and manage security controls including identity management, encryption, and threat protection for sensitive healthcare data.
  • Optimize cloud performance, cost, and availability for mission‑critical systems.
  • Collaborate with development, infrastructure, clinical, and security teams on cloud projects and workload migrations.
  • Provide Tier‑3 escalation support, including issue resolution related to networking, security, and applications.
  • Contribute to business continuity initiatives by implementing and supporting cloud‑based disaster recovery solutions.

Your Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Active Azure and/or AWS cloud Engineer certification REQUIRED.
  • Active Microsoft and VMware certification preferred.
  • 5‑7 years of related experience preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Microsoft Azure and AWS.
  • Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft cloud and on‑premises technologies.
  • Experience supporting large‑scale migrations and modernizing legacy systems.
  • Familiarity with healthcare compliance frameworks (HIPAA, HITRUST) and interoperability standards experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, ideally within healthcare or regulated industries.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Experience with Change/Release Management.
  • Experience with HIPAA compliance and HITRUST certification.
  • Experience with server and application monitoring.
  • Experience with designing/executing a disaster recovery plan.
  • Solid understanding of modern Microsoft technologies including Windows Server (2008‑2016), Active Directory, Exchange, SCCM, and IIS.
  • Working knowledge of Azure CLI, SDKs, and APIs for troubleshooting and system integration.
  • Proven ability to manage projects in dynamic environments with changing priorities and deadlines.
