Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily technical support for users of the Student Administration systems including (but not limited to): CMS People Soft Campus Solutions, Doc Origin, and CSLink based reports.
- Perform analysis, detailed program specification, programming, testing, and documentation to expand the functional scope of the Student Administration systems, in order to meet the business needs of the university.
- Collaborate with Systems and functional teams with Student Administration systems related enhancements and workflows.
- Provide support for third-party systems and applications related to Student Administration processing.
- Perform administrative aspects of development, testing, and documentation in accordance with campus and CMS Central policies.
Skills and Abilities
The ideal candidate will possess a high level of proficiency in ERP systems, with preferred expertise in People Soft tools, techniques, and related programming languages such as SQL, SQR, App Engine, Application Designer, People Code, and People Tools, including debugging in a multi-tier distributed architecture. They should have working knowledge of People Soft modules, particularly Campus Solutions and Student Administration, as well as familiarity with the UNIX environment.
The candidate will demonstrate the ability to learn and support peripheral Student Administration applications, collaborate effectively with technical and functional peers, and share knowledge. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, along with excellent verbal and written communication, planning, organizing, and listening skills. The ideal candidate will maintain a safe work environment, communicate civilly with the University community, and treat all customers, students, faculty, and staff, with dignity, respect, empathy, fairness, and professionalism, in alignment with the university’s mission, values, and strategic vision.

Education and ExperienceEquivalent to a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Management, or similar degree and two years of related experience required.
Physical Summary- Sedentary work - Involves mainly sitting. Walking and standing are minimal. Lifting is limited to lightweight objects. (10 pounds or less).

CompensationSalary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department’s fiscal resources.
Hiring Range: The hiring range for this position is $7,458 (Step
8) - $9,458 (Step 20) per month commensurate with candidate's education, experience, skills, and training.
CSU Classification Salary Range: The CSU Classification Salary Range for this position is $6,492 (Step
1) - $9,458 (Step 20) per month.
1.0 time-base, 40 hours per week.
Duration of AppointmentThis is a temporary position for 1 year with no permanent status granted. Temporary assignments may expire prior to the ending date.
