Type: 1-Year W2 Contract / Hybrid (3+ days a week on-site) / 40 Hours a week

Location: Long Beach, CA

Hourly/Contract Rate: $70–$80/hour, depending on experience.

Base pay range: $70.00/hr - $80.00/hr

Our client is seeking a Power BI Reporting Consultant to join their team in Long Beach to design, develop, and maintain robust reporting solutions in an on‑premises environment. This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, mentoring internal report builders, and managing the Power BI infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security.

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards in an on‑prem environment.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to internal report developers on best practices.
• Administer Power BI infrastructure, including workspace management, data gateways, security, and environment health monitoring.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate reporting requirements into effective solutions.

• 7+ years' experience developing Power BI reports, data models, and DAX calculations in enterprise environments.
• Experience mentoring and consulting with other report developers.
• Hands‑on experience with Power BI Report Server or hybrid deployments.
• Strong understanding of data governance, security roles, and administration.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with both technical and business teams.
• Excellent collaboration and professional communication skills for client interactions.
