Neo Sap Deployment Manager
As a NEO SAP Deployment Manager, you will play a critical leadership role in the successful deployment of SAP solutions across global business units. Your responsibilities will include :
- Leading end-to-end deployment activities for SAP rollouts including preparation, deployment, stabilization, and handover to operations.
- Acting as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for deployment methodology, cutover coordination, and hypercare planning.
- Collaborating with program leadership, solution leads, data and change management teams to ensure seamless execution of deployment plans.
- Defining and executing deployment playbooks, readiness checklists, and go‑live criteria.
- Monitoring project milestones, interdependencies, and business readiness in alignment with overall program timelines.
- Managing and mitigating deployment‑related risks, issues, and escalations across business and IT stakeholders.
- Leading deployment rehearsals and validating cutover plans to ensure minimal disruption to business operations.
- Overseeing the hypercare strategy, support models, and transition to operational support teams.
- Driving continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and standardizing best practices.
- Providing leadership, coaching, and performance management for team members involved in deployment activities.
Here's what you will need :
Program and Project Management Expertise- Overall 10 years work experience with minimum 5 years of experience in managing large‑scale ERP or SAP deployments.
- Deep understanding of Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid project methodologies.
- Proven track record in leading multi‑phase SAP deployments in complex environments.
- Proficiency in SAP S/4
HANA deployment frameworks, including familiarity with core modules (FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, WM/EWM). - Hands on experience with formulating test strategies, planning and managing cross‑system integration testing (SIT/UAT).
- Experience with cutover planning, execution, and hypercare management.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills across business and IT functions.
- Demonstrated success in orchestrating global and cross‑functional deployment teams.
- Ability to lead and influence decision‑making under pressure and manage conflicts constructively.
- Experience with Jira, MS Project, Service Now or other PPM tools.
- Understanding of deployment automation tools, transport management (CTS+ / CHARM), and testing tools (e.g., HP ALM, Tricentis Tosca).
- Ability to define and track deployment KPIs, readiness criteria, and post‑go‑live stabilization metrics.
- Certifications:
PMP, Prince2, or SAFe Program Consultant. - SAP Activate or SAP S/4
HANA certification. - ITIL or Dev Ops certification.
- Expertise in deployment estimation, resource planning, and scenario‑based risk modeling.
- Familiarity with simulation tools or AI‑based predictive analytics for go‑live planning.
- Exposure to cloud‑based SAP (RISE with SAP, SAP BTP) and SAP Fiori deployment strategies.
- Experience integrating SAP with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure) and third‑party systems (e.g., Salesforce, Workday).
- Strong background in coaching and mentoring global teams, particularly in matrix organizations.
- Experience leading post‑go‑live support teams and developing playbooks for ongoing operations.
- Experience in multi‑country or multilingual SAP deployments, considering legal, tax, and localization requirements.
