AI Implementation Strategist

KAL Capital Markets LLC is an aerospace and defense investment bank specializing in mergers and acquisitions advisory for closely held and private equity-owned businesses. The firm provides strategic guidance to clients across aerostructures, MRO and aftermarket services, proprietary manufacturing, airline services, and unmanned aircraft. Team members collaborate closely with clients to deliver tailored financial solutions and insights that reflect the unique dynamics of the aerospace and defense industry.

The AI Implementation Strategist will lead the design, deployment, and optimization of AI-driven solutions to enhance KAL Capital’s investment banking workflows, decision-making, and operational efficiency. This will include a Rev Ops focus to deploy AI solutions for Salesforce and broad, CRM-based solutions. This full-time, on-site role in Long Beach, CA involves collaborating with deal teams to identify use cases for AI in areas such as market analysis, transaction sourcing, due diligence support, and financial modeling.

Additionally, the role will include collaborating with business development specialists to leverage AI into existing work flows for origination and lead managmenet. The strategist will assess current processes, define AI roadmaps, and work with internal stakeholders and external vendors to implement tools and models aligned with regulatory and data security standards. Daily responsibilities include gathering business requirements, translating them into technical specifications, overseeing pilots and rollouts, training team members on new tools, and continuously monitoring performance to refine AI solutions.

The role also requires staying current with emerging AI technologies relevant to financial services and proactively recommending improvements that support the firm’s strategic objectives.

• Demonstrated experience in AI strategy, implementation, or product management, with the ability to translate business needs into practical AI solutions.
• Strong background in data analysis and modeling, including familiarity with machine learning concepts, data pipelines, and performance evaluation.
• Proficiency with analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Python or R basics, SQL concepts, BI platforms) sufficient to collaborate effectively with technical teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage cross-functional projects, prioritize initiatives, and deliver results in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications in AI or data analytics are a plus.
