Position Summary

The Community Manager will oversee all business operations at one of our apartment communities. The successful candidate will possess strong resident relations and interpersonal skills and will have the ability to communicate effectively, take charge, lead, train, be dependable, professional, and a team player.

The salary range for this role is $38 - $43 per hour
.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise leasing and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with company policy
  • Analyze performance and trends to develop and implement monthly marketing plan
  • Trains, motivates and supervises all on‑site staff in order to achieve operational goals of assigned community. This includes new employee orientation and training, ongoing formal and informal performance evaluation, review and approval of time‑sheets, instructing and advising on‑site staff of employee procedures and guidelines
  • Provide excellent customer service while maintaining the highest standards for resident service
  • Assist in preparation of the budget, and adherence to approved budgets
  • Complete month‑end and year‑end reporting as required
  • Provide narrative of all monthly budget variances +/-10% per line item
  • Ensure that property operations are compliant with all applicable regulatory requirements
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university, or 1-2 years of relevant experience
  • 3+ years of related multi‑family property management experience
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Team player, professional, and effective communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and property management software
  • Valid driver’s license (required)
Physical Requirements
  • May be required to sit for extended periods of time while working at a desk
  • May be required to climb stairs
  • Must be able to read documents, computer screens and data
  • Must be able to hear and understand verbal communications in person and over the phone or computer
  • May occasionally be required to lift or carry items such as files or office supplies weighing up to 20 pounds
  • Must be able to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse and other office equipment
Work Environment
  • This role is based on site, primarily in an office setting but may require at times that the employee spends some time outside, with exposure to the elements
  • The office is an open setting which may include bright lights, constant noises and distractions
