Locations: All Western Region locations - assigned based on district coverage needs.
FSLA Status: Exempt
Work Schedule: 9:00AM - 6:00PM – subject to change based on project assignments/deadlines
Salary Range: Annual $73,000 to $75000 - Commensurate with experience
Travel: Up to 50% of the time (may increase based on assignments)
As a Bench District Manager at US Storage Centers, you will be a ready-now district leader who steps into districts where leadership coverage or additional support is needed. You will cover vacancies, leaves of absence, and leadership transitions, stabilize districts that need extra attention, and support acquisitions, conversions, and new openings. In each assignment you will be pivotal in driving the success of multiple locations by developing and mentoring store managers, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction, and overseeing the financial performance of all locations in your assigned district.
Working closely with the Regional Director of Operations, you will lead strategic initiatives, guide your teams to achieve performance goals, and foster a positive, high-performing work environment. Your adaptability and leadership will be essential in keeping every district you support operating to standard and moving forward.
- Provide full district leadership on temporary or interim assignments, including district vacancies, leaves of absence, and leadership transitions, without interruption to operating standards or results
- Support and execute the vision of the Regional Director of Operations in every district assigned
- Quickly assess each newly assigned district, including stores, teams, KPIs, and market conditions, and build a prioritized action plan at the start of each assignment
- Hold covered districts to Company KPI standards, working to maintain or improve revenue, occupancy, and profitability throughout the assignment
- Stabilize and support underperforming districts or stores as identified by the Regional Director of Operations
- Support onboarding and lease-up of newly acquired, converted, and newly opened facilities
- Provide a clear transition at the end of each assignment, including store status, team assessments, KPI trends, and open action items, to the incoming District Manager or returning leader
- Identify high-potential Property Managers and Assistant Managers and recommend them for development and advancement, helping build the Company’s leadership pipeline
- Develop and execute strategies to achieve district-level goals, including revenue, occupancy, and profitability targets. Identify and capitalize on opportunities to drive growth and efficiency across all locations.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive culture across your district. Ensure effective communication between all team members and departments. Work closely with upper management to align district goals with company-wide initiatives.

- Review store environments and key business indicators to identify problems, concerns, and opportunities for improvement to provide coaching to the store employees to act and achieve operational goals
