CNC Mill Operator – Long Beach, CA

Company: Leading Manufacturer & Supplier of Carbon and Graphite Materials

Job Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM

Pay: $26–$30/hr (Overtime as approved)

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate CNC mills independently, ensuring parts meet specifications and quality standards.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, including standard and geometric tolerances.
  • Minimize scrap and rework while maintaining high‑quality output.
  • Accurately verify dimensions using micrometers, depth gauges, height gauges, dial calipers, and Optical Comparators.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and collaborate with engineering on improvements.
  • Maintain 5S standards in the work area and comply with all safety and company protocols.
  • Participate in cross‑training as needed to support other areas of production.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 4–5 years of CNC mill experience, including setup and operation
  • Proficiency with various CNC and manual machining equipment
  • Strong blueprint reading skills and knowledge of geometric tolerances
  • Experience with standard measurement tools (micrometers, comparators, calipers, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and ISO quality systems
  • Strong trigonometry and math skills
  • Ability to manage tooling, fixtures, inserts, holders, and specialized equipment effectively
