VP of Marketing and Communications
Eastridge Workforce Solutions is committed to connecting skilled professionals with meaningful career opportunities. We are seeking a VP of Marketing and Communications to join our client’s team. This is a direct hire position.
Location: Long Beach, CA
Shift: Full time
Pay Range: $130-160k
Employment Type: Full-Time/Direct Hire
Marketing & Communications- Activate national marketing campaigns at regional and local levels.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support fundraising, events, programs, and recruitment efforts.
- Develop inclusive, targeted, omnichannel campaigns to reach underserved communities.
- Lead integrated marketing strategies aligned with organizational goals, ensuring mission-centered messaging.
- Oversee campaigns that attract new audiences and deepen engagement with existing supporters.
- Own core messaging and brand voice across all platforms to ensure consistency and clarity.
- Develop and manage crisis communication plans and lead response efforts as needed.
- Drive media strategy by pitching stories, securing earned media, managing press events, and overseeing PR vendors.
- Elevate public visibility and trust by amplifying community voices and organizational impact.
- Monitor media coverage and analyze outreach effectiveness to inform future strategies.
- Serve as spokesperson or prepare leaders for media engagements; develop press materials and talking points.
- Build and support local PR committees to expand awareness and engagement.
- Mentor and support communications staff through collaboration, coaching, and shared accountability.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, creativity, flexibility, and mission-driven execution.
- Contribute hands‑on as a writer, editor, strategist, and problem‑solver on key initiatives.
- Lead internal communication strategies in partnership with executive leadership.
- Ensure timely, transparent messaging that keeps staff informed and aligned.
- Participate in executive leadership discussions shaping organizational strategy and culture.
- Serve as liaison to the Board and external partners at the national level.
- Provide strategic guidance on branded merchandise to support visibility and revenue goals.
- Ensure alignment with brand standards and budget expectations.
- Oversee invoice processing, timecards, and expense reporting in compliance with policies and budgets.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 10+ years of marketing and communications experience, including 5+ years in leadership roles.
- Proven experience in strategic planning, crisis communications, and integrated campaigns.
- Strong background in mission-driven storytelling, media relations, and vendor management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage competing priorities, and drive results.
