Empower Lives as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)!

Are you a dedicated and caring nurse ready to make a real difference? As a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality care by assisting with assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for individuals served. You’ll guide patient teaching and lead activities that align with your education, competencies, and the Nursing Practice Act (NPA).

Your compassionate approach will directly support individuals in their journey toward better health, while your clinical skills ensure they receive the best care possible at every step.

• Assessment and Data Collection:
  Assist in assessing the physical, psychological, and social aspects of individuals served in the facility as per the Nursing Practice Act (NPA).
• Treatment Planning and
  
  Collaboration:
  
  Assist in planning individualized treatment plans, collaborating with RNs and other staff, and implementing treatment plans as directed by the healthcare practitioner.
• Medication Administration and Safety:
  Administer medications following healthcare provider orders and protocols, ensuring proper techniques, and considering potential drug reactions and overdoses.
• Diagnostic Testing and Communication:
  Obtain diagnostic tests, including body fluid specimens and EKGs, following healthcare provider orders and communicating results to appropriate departments.
• Nutrition and Therapeutic Diet Implementation:
  Implement nutrition and therapeutic diet plans according to healthcare provider orders using appropriate techniques and procedures.

Education:

• Required:
  
  Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.

Experience:

• Required:
  
  One (1) year of clinic experience.

Licenses:

• Required:
  
  Current licensure as a licensed vocational nurse (LVN) in the state employed.
