Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) work closely with headquarters staff, industry partners, company food brokers, and customers to establish and manage essential business relationships, focusing on educating and serving Eden accounts and associates.
OverviewWestern business schools teach that the sales process has five steps:
Open, Qualify, Present, Close, and Service. Travel is required.
- Develop goals, strategies, plans, and tactics to establish and nurture business relationships, improve product knowledge, record data, and achieve merchandising for Eden items.
- Stay up-to-date and knowledgeable about the industry, key personnel, and their developments.
- Provide HQ with insightful sales projections.
- Manage budgets in concert with HQ Sales staff.
- Use and understand Eden Foods’ business systems.
- Work proactively with distributors, retailers, co‑ops, e‑commerce businesses, Eden food brokers, and Eden HQ.
- Manage, train, and direct Eden food brokers; educate them about Eden and the value they deliver.
- Communicate straightforwardly and forthrightly with internal and external stakeholders.
- Distribute company messages to convey Eden Foods’ quality, services, and business opportunities.
- Collaborate with Eden Foods’ departments, leveraging their strengths.
- Operate business consistent with Eden Foods’ Terms of Sale and submit non‑compliant matters as Incentive Agreements.
- Use Salesforce (CRM), Eden Foods’ digital network, and Acct Vantage (ERP) proficiently.
- Help oversee and protect Eden Foods’ intellectual property, such as trademarks and copyrights.
- Education and experience suitable for performing sales management tasks in the food industry.
- Ability to build sound business relationships with other professionals.
- Organizational skills with attention to accurate detail.
- Clear, straightforward communication within the company and with others.
- Reliable follow‑up and follow‑through.
- Sound written, verbal, and computer skills.
- Forward‑thinking entrepreneurial initiative and enthusiasm.
- Willingness to travel independently.
- Professional maintenance of reliably high moral and ethical standards.
