Position Summary
Instructs one type group class, provides excellent service to members in a safe, enjoyable, and positive environment that promotes member wellness and engagement in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures.

QualificationsEnvironmental Factors:
Indoor and outdoor facilities (e.g. childcare and recreational sites); exposure to heat, cold, potentially hazardous chemicals, toxic materials; work on slippery or uneven surfaces. Noise level is usually moderate.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Specific Duties
- Facilitate high-quality yoga sessions for participants of varying ages and skill levels, ensuring proper form, breathing techniques, and safe modifications.
- Foster a positive, member-centered atmosphere where individuals feel supported, encouraged, and empowered to reach their wellness goals.
- Prepare thoughtful and effective class flows tailored to the demographics of the YMCA community, incorporating stretching, strength, balance, and mindfulness practices.
- Monitor participants throughout class, provide corrective guidance, and maintain compliance with YMCA safety policies, emergency procedures, and equipment standards.
