GENERAL STATEMENT OF FUNCTION:
Officers are responsible for the safety and security of all Faculty, Students and Visitors.
Responsibilities- M1:
Hold a current Professional Certificate awarded by the Board on Law Enforcement Standards and Training of the State of Mississippi. (Qualified Mississippi Law Enforcement Officer under the Provisions of Chapter 474 General Laws of Mississippi. 1981). - M2:
Ability to perform physically active duties (walking the campus, directing traffic, lifting at least 20 pounds). - M3:
Exceptional communication and customer skills. - M4:
Demonstrate experience in the use of computers and related software. - M5:
Pass a background investigation.
- D1:
Three-years law enforcement experience. - D2:
First Aid, CPR, AED, hazardous materials and/or other emergency response training. - D3:
Experience in a community college or educational setting. - D4:
Associate of Science Degree in Criminal Justice or related field. - D5:
Documented investigative training and experience.
