SUBSTITUTE INSTRUCTIONAL ASSISTANT POSITION

Pay Rate - $20/hour

All applications will be reviewed by Administration. If selected, you will be contacted for a Virtual Meet & Greet. If recommended for substitute employment, you will receive additional paperwork to complete the application process. Final candidates will be recommended to the Superintendent of Schools for Board approval.

• Preferred 48 college credits or passing score on Para-Pro Praxis
• The ability to work effectively with students at all intellectual levels and to establish and maintain good rapport while working closely with other teacher and administrators
• Fingerprinting is required for criminal history background clearance

To enable each child to pursue his or her education as smoothly completely possible in the absence of the regular Instructional Assistant. Clerical and other duties may be necessary for the smooth and efficient operation of the classroom as assigned. Instructional Assistants must be able to move, bend, squat and kneel while assisting students.

• Report to the Building Principal upon arrival at school at least 15-30 minutes before the official school opening
• Review schedules to be followed during the teaching day
• Provide instruction as outlined by the classroom teacher
• Follow all school policies and procedures
• Assume responsibility of ensuring appropriate behavior of students under your supervision
