Job Overview
Monmouth Family Health Center is a Community Health Center located in Long Branch, NJ seeking a dedicated and energetic Certified Nurse Midwife/Women's Health Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive reproductive health services and pre and post-natal care. Your expertise will empower patients through personalized care, education, and support during some of the most important moments of their lives.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on women's health in an outpatient setting, utilizing advanced clinical skills and compassionate patient engagement. This position is a part-time position working the first and third Saturday of every month.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations, vital signs, and medical history reviews to develop accurate care plans.
- Perform obstetric and gynecological procedures such as suturing, specimen collection and processing, and administering injections or medications.
- Document all patient interactions accurately within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients on family planning options, contraception methods.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate discharge planning, pain management strategies, and follow-up care plans aligned with NCQA standards.
- Maintain proficiency in CPT coding, ICD coding, and medical documentation to ensure accurate billing and recordkeeping.
- Support acute care needs by responding promptly to patient monitoring requirements and providing timely interventions.
- Demonstrate expertise in venipuncture, IV insertion, specimen collection/processing, and specimen handling to facilitate diagnostic testing.
Qualifications
- Valid certification as a Nurse Midwife (CNM) or Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) with current licensure.
- Proven experience in outpatient centers specializing in gynecology.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to women’s health.
- Skilled in performing physical examinations and patient assessments.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems along with familiarity with CPT coding, ICD coding, and medical records management.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
- Ability to work effectively in an outpatient environment while managing multiple priorities efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills for patient education on family planning, reproductive health issues, and discharge instructions. Pay: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour
