Industrial Food Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic

Raw Generation is seeking a skilled Industrial Mechanic to join our manufacturing plant team in Long Branch, New Jersey. The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing, installing, and conducting preventive maintenance on all production equipment, ensuring it remains in optimal working condition. Leveraging electrical and mechanical expertise, the Industrial Mechanic will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all aspects of our production equipment.

Hours:

5:30 AM – 4:00 PM on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays; flexible hours on Mondays and Tuesdays for preventive maintenance and addressing maintenance work from earlier in the week. Saturdays and Sundays may be required as needed. Overtime is required.

• Installation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of 3-phase and single-phase electrical equipment, as well as various types of AC and DC electrical equipment (pumps, motors, VFDs, etc)
• Installation, operation, maintenance, and inspection of diverse mechanical equipment as required
• Adherence to safe working practices, reporting of hazardous conditions, and compliance with all plant safety rules and regulations
• Inspection of machinery, conducting necessary tests, and completion of all required reports and paperwork for company records
• Availability to work additional hours as needed
• Compliance with plant safety rules, regulations, and proper use of personal protective equipment

• Familiarity with food-safe lubricants for various machines and execution of necessary lubrication of production machines as instructed
• Practical knowledge of automated packaging equipment, including repairs and preventive maintenance as needed
• Practical knowledge of automated food processing equipment, including repairs and preventive maintenance as needed
• Proficiency in electricity, PLC, mechanical systems, and related fields
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Strong communication, computer, and math skills

• Minimum of 4 years of industrial maintenance/electrical experience
