Mechanical Technician

• Bring ideas to life by building prototypes and crafting and refining CAD models.
• Design and produce technical and assembly drawings.
• Construct and modify Bills of Materials (BOMs) with detailed parts, raw materials, and routing information.
• Assemble and rigorously test prototypes, ensuring top-notch quality and functionality.

• An HND or equivalent in an engineering-based subject.
• Proven experience in product assembly and component prototyping.
• Strong understanding of BOMs and their hierarchy.
• Exceptional CAD skills, ideally with Solid Works.
• A collaborative team spirit and experience working in groups.
• Familiarity with basic machine shop processes, including CNC milling and turning, sheet metal, and fabrication.

• Experience with Corel Draw.
• MRP knowledge, including Microsoft Dynamics and SAP Business One.
• Understanding of 3D printing design and operations.
• Knowledge of post-process treatments.
• Machine shop safety certification.
• CITY AND GUILDS certification in pipework and brazing or equivalent.
• Basic data processing and spreadsheet skills.
