Mobile Caretaker

Relief Mobile Caretaker post in the Facilities Team at Vertas Group, offered on a zero hours contract to cover annual leave and sickness. The work centres on day-to-day maintenance and minor repairs, checking heating, lighting and alarm systems, keeping records, and maintaining client sites to a clean, secure standard. Shifts fall in two short blocks, early morning and late afternoon, with travel time and mileage paid.

An Enhanced DBS check is required.

• Carrying out day-to-day maintenance and minor repairs
• Ensuring heating, lighting and alarm systems operate correctly
• Completing and recording routine checks and keeping health and safety records
• Monitoring site stock levels and carrying out cleaning duties where required
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, security and presentation across sites
• Providing high quality caretaking services so client environments stay safe, secure, clean and welcoming
• Demonstrating a strong awareness of health and safety and attending relevant training

• Experience in a similar caretaking, facilities or maintenance environment

• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Strong listening skills, responding effectively to colleagues, customers and suppliers
• Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks
• Good attention to detail
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
