The Longmeadow Parks & Recreation Department is seeking Daycare Teacher Substitutes for the Greenwood Children’s Center. Position is responsible for promoting social, physical, and intellectual growth for the children in their care through lesson plans.

Successful candidate must have:

• Knowledge of relevant Massachusetts General Laws related to essential functions.
  
  Knowledge of children’s development and behavior management techniques. Knowledge in the daily use of the Pro Care program.
• Ability to multi-task and manage conflict. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to maintain good public relations and maintain effective collaborative working relationships with Town departments, department heads, fellow employees, children and parents and to respond in a courteous and professional manner.
• Strong communication skills, problem-solving skills and customer service skills.

High School diploma or equivalent, and 1 to 3 years of related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, certification, and experience. Must pass CORI and background check and be EEC Teacher qualified. Maintain First Aid and CPR Certification.
