Crossing Guard Substitutes
The Longmeadow Police Department is actively seeking Crossing Guard Substitutes for shifts for the upcoming/current 2025/2026 school year.
Responsibilities- Shifts are five (5) days per week and run approximately 45 minutes in duration per crossing period.
- Morning crossing starts at approximately 8:00 am with dismissal crossing starting at approximately 2:40 pm.
- Assist the police department in staffing school crossing posts whenever regularly assigned crossing guards are absent.
- Ensure the safety of children traveling to and from the Town's schools, stopping traffic and escorting children safely across streets.
- Salary $17.57 per hour; no benefits.
