* ** RESPONSIBILITIES:
** Baystate Health, Medical Assistants perform an important role providing care to our patients. They take vital signs, perform patient intake and history, clinical orders, procedures, documentation and patient discharge. Our supportive work environment allows you to provide optimal patient care.

* SCHEDULE:

*** Full-time
* Mon - Fri; 8-4:30pm or 8:30-5pm
* NO weekends; NO Holidays  
*
* LOCATION:

*** 21 Dwight Road  
*
* QUALIFICATIONS:

*** High School diploma or GED required
* CPR-Basic Life Support of Healthcare Provider required from the American Heart Association required
* MAI - Graduate of an accredited MA program preferred
** OR
* * demonstrated competencies of MA I (evaluated by hiring manager) with minimum 1 year experience in a medical office.
* MAII - Graduate of an accredited MA program
** OR
* * demonstrated competencies of MA II (evaluated by hiring manager for level hiring for) with minimum 3 years’ current relevant medical assistant experience in a medical practice setting.
* MAIII - Graduate of an accredited MA program with a minimum of 5 years’ current relevant medical assistant experience in a medical practice setting preferred
** OR
* * demonstrated competencies of MA III (evaluated by hiring manager) with a minimum of 5 years’ current relevant medical assistant experience in a medical practice setting
** OR
* * minimum of two years as an MA II at a Baystate Health with demonstrated competencies of MA III.
* MAIV - (Internal career ladder) Minimum of two years as an MA III at Baystate Health with demonstrated competencies for promotion to MA IV. Graduate of an accredited MA program and registered/certified by a third-party credential body.

Credentialing must be awarded by a third-party credentialing body which can be obtained through:
1. Registered through Medical Assistant (ARMA) - (Minimum Requirement); 2. Registered through American Medical Technologist (AMT) association; or 3. Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through the National Healthcare Association (NHA); or American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA); or 4. Nationally Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) through National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).  ##
