Associate Veterinarian or Medical Director

A well-established partner hospital in East Longmeadow, MA is seeking an experienced and passionateMedical Director / Associate Veterinarianto lead their dedicated veterinary team. Role Overview: The Medical Director will be responsible for the overall medical care of animals, as well as the supervision and development of veterinary staff. The role involves leading by example, developing medical protocols in line with industry standards, and fostering a culture of learning and growth. This position provides a unique chance to guide a team while ensuring exceptional patient care and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the medical team to ensure exceptional patient care and client service.
• Perform comprehensive medical examinations, diagnoses, and treatments for animals.
• Develop, implement, and review medical protocols and ensure they are in line with best practices.
• Collaborate with the management team to achieve clinic goals and maintain high standards of care.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to veterinary staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with legal and ethical veterinary standards.
• Work closely with clients to ensure their satisfaction and educate them on animal health and wellness.

Qualifications:

• DVM or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
• At least 5 years of experience in general practice with strong leadership and management skills.
• Proven ability to lead and inspire a team of veterinary professionals.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A passion for delivering high-quality patient care and a commitment to supporting staff development.
