Job Title:
Mechanical Engineer III
Location:
Longmont, CO 80501
Duration: 12+ months (could go beyond)
Essential Functions
(Responsibilities):
• Research, identify and maintain standard mechanical parts to be used on GCS turbine control projects.
• Meet with customer to understand system mechanical requirements when required.
• Insure that mechanical controls components meet customer specifications including Class 1 Div 1, Class 1 Div 2, CE and UL when required.
• Verify and approve engineering documentation including electrical wiring, cabinet layout, and communication network topology.
• Support engineering, assembly, and test of mechanical controls solution.
• Maintain AutoCAD Mechanical and Inventor standard libraries, symbols, and templates.
• Drive use of standard mechanical parts usage throughout global GCS team.
• Responsible for Direct Material Productivity program and initiatives.
• Oversee Document assurance meetings.
- Create and Design hydraulic trip manifold assemblies
• 2+ years HDGT and/or Nuclear Power Plant (PWR/BWR) design experience
• Motivated team player and self-starter, results oriented.
• Familiarity with Client’s engineering tools (SAP, DWB, Energy PLM, COPICS, DART, etc).
QualificationsQualifications / Requirements:
• BS degree in engineering/applied science or equivalent.
• Minimum of 8 years engineering experience.
• Minimum of 5 years mechanical experience
• Demonstrated ability to meet agreed upon goals and measurements.
• Proficient in use MS Office Suite, MS Win, MS Internet Explorer, and file management.
• Ability and willingness to travel when required.
• Solid verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with AutoCAD Mechanical, Inventor and Raster Design.
• Understanding of turbine control industry.
