Founded as Boulder Hospice in 1976, TRU Community Care is a nonprofit healthcare organization serving Boulder, Denver, and surrounding counties. With a mission to affirm life at every step of the journey with illness and loss, TRU provides a continuum of care through TRU Hospice, TRU PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly), TRU Palliative Care, TRU Grief Services, and Landmark Memory Care.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am to 5pm
Location: Longmont, Boulder, & Louisville areas. In the community, seeing patients in their homes and facilities.
Pay: $23.29 to $25.40 per hour
Sign-On Bonus: $3,000

JOB SUMMARY

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for providing direct personal services to our Hospice patients. The CNA will travel from patient home to patient home in order to provide care in their primary residence. TRU CNAs provide patient care in a manner that promotes the interdisciplinary team approach, respects patients, and the family's goals for care.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • 1+ years of experience as a CNA
  • Must be a high school graduate or possess a GED
  • Must possess a valid driver's license, provide proof of insurance indicating you have both Bodily Injury & Property Damage coverage, and have reliable transportation
  • Must comply with agency health screening and immunization requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Provides patients with personal care as designated in the plan of care; understands Colorado law related to the supervision and delegation process from RN to CNA
  • Understands general physical symptoms as they relate to end of life and has an understanding of non‑medical interventions
  • Performs transferring and positioning utilizing appropriate equipment per standards of practice and with patient safety as priority; understands good body mechanics and use of safety and transfer devices to prevent injury to self and patient
  • Incorporates patient/family preferences and goals within the plan of care
  • Supports and respects the patient’s and family’s unique diversity, including spiritual and cultural beliefs
