Radiologic Technologist - X-Ray

We are looking for a Radiologic Technologist / X‑ray technologist to join our team. General duties include operating radiographic equipment to consistently obtain and produce optimal high‑quality images for diagnostic imaging studies. The Radiologic Technologist approaches their tasks in a team‑based care fashion that supports patients and their families in self‑management, self‑efficacy, and behavior change. Our Mission is to provide a quality, integrated healthcare home to the communities we serve Supervision Received:

Works under the direct supervision of the Center Operations Director or Associate Center Director. Works closely with the Medical Radiology Safety Officer to ensure the procedures are followed.

Specific Duties :
  • Produces diagnostic images using medical radiographic equipment so that medical providers can properly diagnose and treat diseases and injuries.
  • Maintains professionalism and understands limitations of their scope and the need for ongoing discretion by not disclosing any information or reacting to what they are seeing on the image(s), making a diagnosis, sharing any personal impressions, or sharing any diagnostic information with a patient.
  • Explains procedure to patients and refers them back to their medical provider for diagnosis/exam results.
  • Positions patients properly to obtain quality images and if warranted covers patients with lead shields to protect body parts from unnecessary radiation exposure.
  • Works in conjunction with Medical Providers, Dental Providers, Behavioral Health Providers and all other staff to ensure that patients obtain the highest standard of integrated health care.
  • Acts as a patient advocate for our vulnerable populations by ensuring that patients are fully informed and comfortable with their visit to Salud.
  • Follows procedures for the electronic health records system.
  • Assisting patients with/or completing required out‑patient forms.
  • Logging all x‑rays performed in proper on the same day of order.
  • Maintaining supply requisition forms and follow clinics policy on ordering of supplies.
  • Keep an accurate account of all record‑keeping concerning x‑ray discrepancies and report to supervisor or quality team staff member.
  • Keep all x‑ray equipment in a clean state and report any problems or failures of equipment to supervisor. Maintain appropriate forms relating to equipment preventative maintenance or repair.
  • Order supplies as necessary for the x‑ray department after securing the signature of approval of the supervisor.
  • Enters CPT codes for procedures per provider orders.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Education:

  • Associate of Applied Science Degree in Radiological Technology
  • ARRT registered
  • BLS required, within the time frame established by the department

Experience:

  • Previous experience in a fast‑paced clinic or hospital environment is highly desirable.
