ENVEA is a world class manufacturer of ambient, emission and process monitoring systems, with full turnkey capabilities. Our equipment and technologies encompass gas analysers, dust monitors, solids flow and moisture sensors, flue gas flow meters, and air quality monitoring networks, as well as environmental data processing and reporting solutions.
ENVEA wish to appoint a Site Production Manager for the development and production site in Longmont with currently about 80 employees. The Production Manager will have a background in the management of production sites, a strong understanding of manufacturing, collaboration with R&D and suppliers, and business management skills. The role requires communication with colleagues from other ENVEA locations to share best practices.
The Production Manager reports to the Manufacturing Operations Director (based in Paris, France) and works closely with the General Manager Americas.
Purpose
The Site Manager Longmont will develop an effective site focused on delivering products on time and within budget. Liaison with R&D is required for new product innovations, and for the production and lifecycle management of equipment and solutions. The Site Manager will promote a culture of communication and interaction, guiding, supporting and inspiring local teams to operate as part of a global ENVEA team.
Responsibilities- Provide leadership for on-site teams.
- Coordinate with ENVEA managers globally to understand current and future requirements for the product line.
- Form a motivated team delivering quality products and innovations.
- Foster enthusiasm, teamwork, and a shared vision.
- Act as the company legal representative on site.
- Oversee Research and Development activities and act as liaison between Operations and R&D.
- Provide support to local R&D and ensure project delivery and completion.
- Contribute to product management and lifecycle management
- Drive product management in cooperation with Group Head of Product Management and Group Head of R&D.
- Meet production KPIs and ensure products meet quality standards and availability.
- Coordinate supply chain activities with local teams and Group Heads as needed.
- Monitor financial data and recommend profitability improvements.
- Ensure smooth site operations and implement group improvement projects.
- Direct Facilities management and ensure safety, compliance with standards and regulations.
- Direct Quality Management and support quality audits with certifying bodies as required.
- Promote a continuous improvement culture and site excellence.
- HR management: liaise with local HR, support staff development plans, handle escalation, promote a positive work environment, and support employee development.
- IT: manage local IT requirements per Group guidelines and budget; ensure equipment availability and support business development.
Experience
- Ideally experience in building instruments or equipment used in industrial process plants.
- Extensive experience in management of site operations.
- Experience working with R&D departments and in the interaction between development and production.
- Experience dealing with external partners such as suppliers or inspection bodies.
Knowledge
- Good technical understanding and knowledge of certification processes, procurement and approval processes.
- Understanding market requirements and sales organization needs.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, business management or related area.
- Understanding of finance and budgeting, including P&L, balance sheets and cash flow management.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and experience with ERP systems.
Location
Longmont, Colorado, USA with occasional travel. Fluent English required; US work clearance is required.
