Vitesse Systems is looking for a Machinist II to join the team in Longmont, Colorado. The Machinist II is responsible for programming and manufacturing our high‑precision antenna feeds.

The primary responsibility of the Machinist II is to program and manufacture our high‑precision antenna feeds.
Key Responsibilities- Program CNC machines according to internal policies and technical documentation using mastercam under general supervision.
- Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of‑tolerance machining and adjust machine as required.
- Verify dimensions and alignment of assembly.
- Program and manufacture antenna feeds according to readings.
- Interpret and apply blueprints.
- Apply advanced geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Maintain CMi quality and safety standards.
- Utilize hand and measurement tools to complete various manufacturing and quality assurance functions.
- Complete fabrication of specialized parts on manual machines.
- Support custom development of fixturing.
- Support continuous improvement activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of machining experience.
- Ability to hold tight tolerances.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong math skills.
- Working knowledge of work rules and safety guidelines.
- Proficiency with GD&T.
- Proficiency reading blueprints.
- Experience using Mastercam software is a plus.
