We have an exciting new opportunity for a CNC Mill Setup Machinist to join a highly respected, precision-focused machine shop in the Longmont area. This is a modern, high-tech environment running new machines, robotic cells, and advanced automation. The shop is led by experienced machinists who actively invest in their team, providing real, hands‑on training in Mastercam, Hypermill, and advanced machining best practices.

This role offers the chance to work on challenging parts, sharpen your setup skills, learn cutting‑edge software, and grow in a clean, well‑run, highly respected shop. Full‑time position with flexible set‑scheduling options.

• Perform CNC mill setups: tooling, fixturing, offsets, program loading
• Verify quality through first articles and in-process checks
• Troubleshoot and optimize setups for efficiency and repeatability
• Collaborate with machinist‑owners on best practices and improvements
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow shop standards
• Support production of high‑precision parts for Aerospace/DoD and other industries

• Strong CNC mill setup experience
• Solid understanding of tooling, fixtures, and offsets
• Eagerness to learn and expand skills
• Passion for machining and precision craftsmanship

• Mastercam editing or light programming experience
• Aerospace or AS9100‑style shop background
• Exposure to robotic machining cells or automation
• Multi‑axis machining or live tooling experience
