Mechanical Assembler

Mechanical Assembler – Contract position (4-6 months) – Pay $20-22

Assembly of mechanical housings, systems and hardware for both stand‑alone products and products containing printed circuit board assemblies. Primary work is conducted while standing utilizing hand tools (powered and manual), machinery and applicable materials.

• Pass IPC-A-610 Modules 1-8 and J-STD-001 Module 1 and 6 as needed

• Read and interpret assembly instructions, drawings and work instruction processes.
• Identify hardware, wire assemblies, sheet metal and plastic components.
• Work with miniature to large components that may require visual magnification.
• Integrate electronic assemblies and cables into mechanical housings.
• Use various hand tools (pliers, rulers, cutters and pneumatic tools such as torque drivers, torque wrenches and screwdrivers).
• Adhere to all ESD requirements and Board Handling.
• Use of Moisture Sensitive Device (MSD) handling requirements based on the components’ Moisture Sensitive Levels (MSL).
• Comply with all in-house training as identified in job specific family and or specific training plan.
• Support all corporate and site 6S objectives.
• Perform all other duties, as assigned.
