- Common diagnoses/Types of patients: ""Hypoglycemia, IV antibiotics, mild respiratory distress, phototherapy, pre-term babies that need to learn to bottle feed and gain weight. Some withdrawing babies from Mother of baby drug use. NICU RNs attend C-Sections and Vaginal Deliveries. Their role is only for the baby. May be asked to care for stable post-partum mothers & babies. (If traveler doesn't have experience caring for moms, they must be atleast willing to learn and the facility will provide training.
