Merchandising Sales Associate

Overview

Merchandising Sales Associate role at Tractor Supply Company. The FAST Team Member travels to stores within an assigned district to own and execute start-to-finish tasks, such as planograms, merchandise and fixture assembly, and maintenance of signage. The FAST Team Member interacts with customers and Team Members, delivering a Legendary Customer Experience.

• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Work scheduled shifts with the ability to work varied hours, days, nights, and overtime as needed.
• Communicate proactively with the District FAST Supervisor on work completion, issues, and solutions.
• Complete planograms and resets accurately and on time.
• Maintain visual merchandise standards.
• Perform store-specific measurements and store layout initiatives.
• Perform accurate cycle counts and top-cap processes (Tractor Way).
• Hang store signage and assemble merchandise, fixtures, and PDQs.
• Perform detailed recovery and review planogram integrity.
• Deliver Legendary Customer Service through GURA:
  Greet, Uncover Needs & Wants, Recommend Solutions, and Add Value & Appreciate the Customer.
• Ensure customers have a Legendary shopping experience that differentiates Tractor Supply from the competition.
• Provide peak coverage as needed (e.g., Day After Thanksgiving).
• FAST Team Members may be required to perform other duties as assigned.

• Experience:
  
  Prior retail and/or merchandising experience required. Farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge is preferred. Must be 18+ and have a valid driver’s license.
• Education:
  
  High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required. Must be able to read, write and count accurately.

• Farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge strongly preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to resolve issues ethically and with minimal conflict.
• Self-directed with ability to complete assignments with little to no assistance.

• Generally indoor with moderate noise; shifts vary by store and are typically no less than 4 hours up to 8+ hours.
• Travel between store locations in personal vehicle is required; may involve long periods of time.
• Promote a safe and productive work environment and adhere to safety guidelines.
• Indoor floors and outdoor lots are hard surfaces; lighting and temperature are adequate.

• Ability to travel as required to support district needs.
• Ability to push/pull merchandise up to 2,000 pounds with appropriate equipment; occasionally lift or reach overhead.
• Frequent standing, kneeling, twisting, crouching, bending, stooping, and climbing ladders.
• Ability to access all store areas and operate store equipment (computer, cash register, etc.).
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers; may handle birds/poultry.
• Ability to move and transfer merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds; tolerate non-sedentary work.
