Job SummaryWe are looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our engineering team. The SDET will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining an Automated Testing Framework from front‑end to back‑end, ensuring the highest levels of reliability and performance of our Industrial Battery Charging products and solutions.
Responsibilities- Design and develop an Automated Test Framework used to verify Charger Products and Solution functions.
- Collaborate with the Engineering team to identify Product Test Case requirements.
- Participate in project planning and prioritization for Test Plan creation, design, implementation, and execution phases.
- Develop Test Cases and Test Suites that meet hardware and firmware specifications and quality standards.
- Monitor and report on automated test coverage to stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent technical field.
- 5+ years of experience as an SDET or Software Engineer.
- Experience working on medium‑to‑large applications (web server, persistence, asynchronous distributed systems, etc.).
- Architectural vision that guides implemented solutions.
- Proficiency in one or more Object‑Oriented languages such as C# or Java.
- Experience with OOP design patterns and principles.
- Ability to develop and deploy applications on both Linux and Windows platforms.
- Experience with relational databases, schema design, and SQL.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Power Shell, or Python.
- Experience with source‑code repositories such as Git Hub.
- Experience conducting code reviews and maintaining code quality.
- Networking experience with HTTP, TCP/IP, and UDP protocols.
- Experience building or extending an Automated Test Framework.
- Experience with Test Plan development and Product Validation.
- Experience testing the integration of software and hardware devices.
- Experience with performance and stress testing of software/hardware integrations.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and project planning.
- Knowledge of issue‑tracking tools such as Jira or You Track.
- Multi‑tasking ability in a small‑company environment.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Team player who actively establishes and maintains effective relationships with management, coworkers, suppliers, and customers.
- Experience with .NET/.NET Core and Entity Framework.
- Experience creating Test Results reports.
- Front‑end development experience using .NET Blazor or other web UI technologies.
- Familiarity with user experience (UX) concepts and design.
- RESTful API design and development experience.
- Observability tooling experience (Grafana, Prometheus, etc.).
- CAN bus and Modbus protocol experience.
- Experience with test equipment such as voltmeters, data acquisition systems, and load banks.
- Understanding of electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Knowledge of compliance testing standards (e.g., IEEE
1547, UL 2202). - In‑depth knowledge of power generator backup, charger/battery systems, or battery monitoring.
Longmont, CO (hybrid schedule once fully trained).
