Environmental Construction Site Supervisor – Ontario

Arcadis is seeking an Environmental Construction Site Supervisor to join our team in Ontario. The successful candidate will support our construction projects across the province. They must possess solid leadership, organizational, planning and communication skills to effectively manage the dynamic work environment. They may be required to report to the Arcadis office as needed, typically working remotely when no site activities occur or being on‑site supervising and directing project scopes in the field.

• Oversee project site planning and organization of subcontractors, Arcadis crews, and other project stakeholders while ensuring full implementation of Arcadis Health and Safety policies and procedures.
• Lead daily operations meetings.
• Assess, adjust and re‑assess daily operations to ensure effective resource use on‑site and communicate additional needs and solutions to the project team.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager on contract and scope management, understanding the contract, dividing scopes, and managing changes to ensure change orders and scope creep are identified and managed.
• Manage all required on‑site paperwork to ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements and Arcadis policies (e.g., Site Supervisor Reports, Morning Tailgates, Safety Talks, Equipment Inspections).

• 8+ years of experience in Construction Services.
• Fluency in French and English;
  English is required to communicate with internal and external teams.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Minimum of 5 years of work experience in Canada to complete the Federal Background check.

• Experience in Environmental Construction (Heavy Civil Remediation/Demo‑Abatement) and on mining, oil and gas sites.
• Experience with soil remediations and landfill construction.
• Ability to use Site Docs Safety Management Software.
• First Aid Certification and valid construction certifications: WAH, Confined Space, Asbestos Awareness, AWP License, Traffic Control, Propane Certificate, IHSA Basics of Supervisor, Joint Health and Safety Cert 1 & 2, TSSA License.

Salary range: $78,000 – $117,000. The base salary represents Arcadis’ hiring range for this position; the actual salary will vary with location, skills, experience and qualifications.

• Gérer le contrat et le périmètre, en collaboration avec le chef de projet (ex. changement d’ordre ou dérive de périmètre).
• Garantir la conformité réglementaire locale et la documentation requise (rapports de supervision, tailgates, causeries de sécurité, inspections d’équipement).

• Plus de 8 ans d’expérience dans le secteur de la construction.
• Maîtrise du français et de l’anglais.
• Permis de conduire valide.
• Au moins 5 ans d’expérience professionnelle au Canada pour la vérification du gouvernement fédéral.
