EDUCATION CONSULTANT (100%) SPECIAL PROJECT

This full‑time special project position will be available as of July 1, 2026, in the Educational and Technology Services Department at Riverside School Board, located at 7525 chemin de Chambly in St. Hubert.

OVERVIEW

The Educational and Technology Services department provides direct and indirect support to school teams, administrators, teachers, students and parents. Some of the key responsibilities include curriculum, teaching and learning, and the pedagogical integration of technology and library services.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide comprehensive support, mentorship and training for teaching personnel undergoing professional induction under Measure 15156, whether they are Legally Qualified (LQ) or Non‑Legally Qualified (NLQ).
  • Offer targeted advice and support to school‑based staff in class management, development and evaluation of programs of study, and selection of effective instructional materials.
  • Collaborate with the Educational and Technology Services team to guide and contribute to reflection on educational success and relevant data.
  • Analyze existing data and identify best tools, resources and means to concretely measure progress of teacher integration and student development.
  • Manage pedagogical portfolios, including Culture and Citizenship in Quebec and/or Social Sciences.
  • Design and lead training workshops and sessions on program components; support experimentation in class.
  • Provide learning evaluation tools and guide teachers in design, preparation or adaptation of evaluation tools.
  • Work with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized education plans for students with special needs, including handicapped students or those with social maladjustments or learning difficulties; define intervention objectives and means.
  • Advise management and staff on professional development programs, plan the programs and evaluate the results.
  • Recommend purchases of learning materials, supplementary materials, equipment, software and program packages; advise on room layouts.
  • Advise school staff on integrating technology into teaching; prepare and deliver training and information workshops on components of the program for integrating technology.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate specialty, namely education.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a relevant field of Culture and Citizenship in Quebec and/or Social Sciences.
  • Teaching certificate (BREVET).
  • Proven knowledge of the Quebec Education Program.
FURTHER REQUIREMENTS
  • Knowledge of technology and of its integration for pedagogical purposes.
  • Excellent skills in both oral and written French and English.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively, as a member of a pedagogical team.

SCHEDULE

35 hours per week, to be determined.

ANNUAL SALARY

In accordance with the Professionals Agreement, the salary ranges from $56,670 to $100,410 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
