Description
The Continuing Education Department of Champlain College Saint‑Lambert requires the services of an hourly instructor to teach the course INTRODUCTION TO RESIDENTIAL REAL ESTATE BROKERAGE (221‑201‑MA).

This introductory course provides students with an overview of the professional environment of residential real‑estate brokerage. Students will learn how the brokerage industry operates, examine the activities, responsibilities, tasks, and conditions of practice of their future profession, assess their entrepreneurial potential, and understand the realities of self‑employment. They will also analyze the real‑estate market, grasp its dynamics, and draft a business plan to define the direction they will follow.

The document will serve as a springboard for launching their career by transforming ideas into concrete actions.

Required Qualifications

Must be a licensed Real Estate Broker or Agent in Quebec.

Must have a thorough knowledge of the competencies, know‑how and business skills necessary to perform as a Real Estate Broker in Quebec.

Must have a bachelor’s degree in a related field, or a minimum of six years’ experience as a Residential Real Estate Broker or Agent. Applicants with less than six years’ experience, but with a minimum of one year in agency management, may also be considered.

Excellent communication skills in English are required. The course is taught in English.

Teaching experience within a similar program is an asset.

Delivery Model and Schedule
The course is delivered using a hybrid delivery model: approximately 20 % of the hours are in‑person and 80 % are delivered online or at a distance. The instructor must be able to deliver a course online.

Wednesdays – 6:30 pm to 10:00 pm (All)

Saturdays – 9:00 am to 4:00 pm (September 19; October 17; November 7 only)

Saturday – 9:00 am to 2:30 pm (December 5 only)

The schedule and course dates may change based on the needs of the program.
