Description
The Continuing Education Department of Champlain College Saint-Lambert requires the services of an hourly instructor to teach the course Real Estate and Business Law (221-202-MA). This course is designed to enable future residential real‑estate brokers to apply the main principles of business law, ordinary law, and property law that will affect their business management and professional practice. By the end of this course, students will be able to validate the legal status of an owner and of an immovable, support their clients by explaining the legal principles in simple terms, and if necessary, refer clients to the relevant professional.
Required Qualifications
Thorough knowledge of Quebec law as it applies to business and real‑estate brokerage.
Bachelor's degree in a related field and licensed lawyer or notary in Quebec.
Member in good standing of the Quebec Bar Association (Barreau du Quebec) or the Chambre des notaires du Québec.
Excellent communication skills in English; this course is taught in English.
Teaching experience within a similar program is an asset.

Comments:
The course is delivered with a hybrid delivery model. Approximately 20% of course hours will be given in‑person and 80% will be delivered online or at a distance. The in‑person dates will be determined in collaboration with the hired instructor. The selected candidate must have the ability to deliver a course online.

Thursday: 6:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. – (October 8 & 29; November 26; December 10 ONLY)
Saturday: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. – (October 3 & November 21 ONLY)
The schedule and course dates may change based on the needs of the program. Courses are taught in English; the selected incumbent will be required to work in English.
