Riverside School Board seeks Lunch Supervisors for various schools, offering one weekday lunch hour focused on student supervision and safety. Use strong interpersonal judgment.
As a Lunch Supervisor, you will help maintain discipline while students eat and move through lunch activities. The work includes supervising inside and outside areas, giving warnings, and reporting unusual situations. You will also greet visitors and explain school regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor student behavior throughout the lunch period
- Give warnings when school rules are not observed
- Observe and report abnormal situations to designated persons
- Explain regulations and direct students or visitors
- Support students with eating, dressing, or mobility needs
- Secondary School Diploma or equivalent recognized studies
- One year of pertinent experience in related areas
- Knowledge of general psychology concepts and human relations
- Standard first aid certificate completed within three years
- Six-hour refresher course completed within three years
