What you will do- Platform Management: responsible for the vision, roadmap, and full life cycle of the Tooling platform.
- Stakeholder Partnership: build and maintain trusted relationships with stakeholders and align solutions with business objectives.
- Project Management & Governance: plan, prioritize, and oversee the execution of minor development and enhancement projects; ensure governance for major projects.
- Team Leadership: lead, motivate, and mentor a technical team of developers; foster an environment of collaboration and technical excellence.
- Support Organization: contribute to functional support and organize an operational support structure to ensure high availability and performance of critical applications.
- Vendor Management: manage external service providers and vendors for project execution and support services.
- Governance & Standards: define and promote the use of standards, Dev Ops procedures, and design reviews to ensure solution quality and maintainability.
This position is on‑site, requiring regular attendance at the Longueuil facility.
Skills and Qualifications- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Automated Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. - Experience:
Minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience, including team leadership, project management, or platform management roles. - Industry Expertise: strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning, and tooling environments.
- Leadership: demonstrated ability to exercise influential leadership, mobilize multidisciplinary teams, and navigate complex organizational structures.
- Communication: excellent ability to simplify complex technical issues for non‑technical audiences and communicate effectively at all levels of management.
- Technical
Skills:
knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile/Dev Ops methodologies. - Languages:
proficiency in French and English (oral and written). The role is part of a French‑speaking work environment but requires good English for reading, understanding, and communicating with international partners. - Compliance: selected candidate must submit to a criminal background check and obtain required clearances related to handling and transfer of controlled goods; offers are conditional upon successful completion of these checks.
