Satellite Electrical Systems Engineer

Position: Satellite Electrical Systems Engineer )
Responsibilities   Define and validate the satellite electrical architecture (power generation, storage, distribution, avionics interfaces)
Perform power budget analysis, system sizing, and margin assessments across mission phases
Design and specify key subsystems (batteries, solar arrays, power conditioning and distribution units)
Conduct performance and robustness analyses (worst-case scenarios, thermal behavior, radiation effects)
Develop and maintain technical documentation (ICDs, electrical schematics, specifications, test plans)
Support system integration, verification, and validation activities (functional, environmental, performance testing)
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, thermal, propulsion, software) to ensure system consistency
Interface with suppliers and support component selection, qualification, and issue resolution
Own the Electrical Power System (EPS) end-to-end, ensuring compliance with mission and system requirements
Profile   Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering
Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (or eligible)
5+ years of experience in space, aerospace, or defense
Robust experience in embedded electrical systems and power electronics
French (spoken and written) is an asset
Skills   Electrical Power Systems (EPS)
Modeling and simulation
EMI / EMC
Reliability analysis (FMECA, worst-case)
System integration and testing
